A202 is an open, carrier-neutral specification of commercial authority, negotiation state, and verifiable conformance for transactions between independent organizations.
A202 is spoken "A two-oh-two"; the letters are not an expansion, and 202 refers to HTTP 202 Accepted.
A202 specifies meaning, not transport; its objects can be carried by A2A, plain HTTPS, or other transports.
The protocol refuses whole categories: no marketplace or matching, no settlement execution, no reputation scores, no token, no negotiation strategy.
Commercial commitments: no percentage of transaction value, the right to appeal is never charged for, determination fees never depend on outcomes, no paid ranking, no pay-for-grade.
The service is non-custodial and rail-neutral; settlement is a handoff to existing payment rails.
A202 uses the specification version a202-commercial/0.1.
A. A. Musse created and maintains the specification. Plural Worlds holds the A202 mark.
The sponsor intends to move the specification to neutral stewardship when multi-stakeholder participation is real.
